Aralık HPP Final and Detailed Design Projects

Project Location

The Aralık Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) Project is located in the Eastern Black Sea Region of Türkiye, within the boundaries of Borçka District of Artvin Province, on Aralık Stream, a tributary of the Çoruh River. The powerhouse building is located on the shoreline of the Muratlı Dam reservoir. The Aralık Regulator is situated within Aralık Village on Aralık Stream, between Boynar Hill on the right bank and Canavar Hill on the left bank, at a thalweg elevation of 400.50 m. The Aralık HPP is located along the road between the Çoruh River and Borçka–Muratlı town. After passing through the powerhouse, the water is discharged into the Muratlı Dam reservoir on the Çoruh River.
